Apple iPod 80GB Black Media Player

Strengths: Great amount of storage. The screen works very well and is nice and bright. I like the ease of navigation through all of the music. Great reliablility and sound quality.

Weakness: As I have heard all iPods scratch rather easily. The scratches are pretty small so if you take care of it I don't think that they detract from the nice looks of the iPod.

I really enjoy using my iPod, I can just listen to it for hours on end. I listened to it for pretty much twelve hours non-stop and I still didn't even get half way through all of the songs I have on there. I bought an Alpine car stereo that connects to my iPod and it works great. I don't drive anywhere without my iPod. iTunes can take a little while to get used to, but it's some of the best...

I really enjoy using my iPod, I can just listen to it for hours on end. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Ipod 80gig

Strengths: Lots of accessories available, looks cool, reliable.

Weakness: Apple music incompatability.

In order to be compatable with many other peoples ipod music playing devices, I have reluctantly joined the club.
I was reluctant because I prefer the freedom of being able to download off any sight and not be limited to apple -- that is were podmax software comes in handy.

The updated version of high-capacity iPod is a great choice for those, who are looking to gain extra storage capacity. While, I do not care much for the brighter screen (although it is noticeably brighter in this model), I appreciate the extra 20GB of disk storage that it provides. The updated version of high-capacity iPod is a great choice for those, who are looking to gain extra storage capacity. While, I do not care much for the brighter screen (although it is noticeably brighter in this model), I appreciate the extra 20GB of disk storage that it provides. In addition, I would recommend spending extra $50 or so and purchasing AppleCare extended warranty service for your iPod. You can upgrade the warranty anytime within 1 year of purchase. I believe it is well worth it.

Strengths: Easily syncs with iTunes, easy to use, lightweight, bright display, lots of extras built in.

Weakness: Ultrasensitivity of click wheel.

I love this iPod. It's my first. There are issues with fingerprints and scratching, but I bought clear protector screens and that solved the problem. Friends at work actually asked if I polish my iPod everyday since there are never any smudges or fingerprints on it. I bought a carrying case, but I never use it. I've been using the case that's included with purchase to transport the iPod to my car...

I love this iPod. It's my first. There are issues with fingerprints and scratching, but I bought clear protector screens and that solved the problem. Friends at work actually asked if I polish my iPod everyday since there are never any smudges or fingerprints on it. I bought a carrying case, but I never use it. I've been using the case that's included with purchase to transport the iPod to my car and to work. The iPod spends it's time docked to a speaker system so I rarely use the ear buds. On the few occasions that I did use the ear buds, they were fine. Others have mentioned the inclusion of an A/V kit, and that would have been nice. As it is, I'm extremely happy with the product and my purchase. I haven't downloaded movies yet, so I can't address that function.

Strengths: Charged and ready, lightweight, black casing seems to make the picture stand out even more, awesome capacity

Weakness: Still have that easily scratched exterior, movies in widescreen are really small, clickwheel sensitivity not adjustable (?)

I love Apple products, especially this iPod. I have an older model and was really distressed when they started with color right after that so I waited...to buy this one. The games, the movies and the TV shows are a wonderful extra.

As often as people complain about the exterior being easily damaged and smudged, you'd think Apple would do something about that. Why not something akin to the exterior of a cell phone?

Also, I am still not wild about the click wheel. Sometimes, it's hypersensitive, like when you want to adjust the volume. Then when you go to play a game, it bogs and loses it's place (like a wireless computer mouse running out of batteries).

What happened to everything you need in one box? They lowered the price on this generation but to really get full use of this, you need to purchase the A/V plus package (currently $99.00 US). Why not bundle it and offer a little incentive? I'd rather get everything I need instead of chasing down accessories after the fact.

Even with all that, it's still a fabulous product (a built-in mic would be nice...) and after I get a really good outside coverage type case, my kids and niece will love watching Dora and Disney and I'll enjoy having something for the whole family on my iPod :)
