After waiting 1 year, I finally bought it from amazon.com for $1500 a 50% off from MSRP a year ago. Package is humongous, twice the size of my old infocus SP4805 dlp projector. no moving part here. less thing to worry about breaking. 3 panel lcd. resolution is 5x of top of the line dlp projector. Sony VPL HS 60

Strengths: Excellent picture, easy setup, well made, all necessary inputs for High Definition projection.

Weakness: Unit came with horizontal lens control frozen at the extreme right.

The Sony HS 60 is an excellent high resolution projector LCD projector is nicely made and easy to set up. Mine is sitting 16 feet from a 92 x 52 screen and produces a great high def. image. With the zoom feature the until0 could be posted closer to the screen or off to the side by using the verticla and horizontal shift feature on the lens. The Sony HS 60 is an excellent high resolution projector LCD projector is nicely made and easy to set up. Mine is sitting 16 feet from a 92 x 52 screen and produces a great high def. image. With the zoom feature the until0 could be posted closer to the screen or off to the side by using the verticla and horizontal shift feature on the lens. Although the remote control has numerous functions, the default settings produce an excellent image. One can also change the aspect ratio to better accomodate various input material. In total a great unit that does what it promises. I was able to get the horizontal control freed up eventually and avoided the nuisance of having to send back the unit to Laredo, TX for repair.
