Sansa E250 - comparable to Apple I-pod

Strengths: Easy to use, ability to upgrade memory with micro SD cards, great sound, clear crisp screen

Weakness: Only that is is not an "I-pod"

This MP3 player is a great MP3 player and very much comparable to the Apple I-pod. The battery life holds a good charge and is what you would expect. The screen is clear and crisp. Just got the sansa e250

Strengths: - Comprehensive feature set - Crisp video quality - Very good 1.8" screen. - Easy transfer of music (through UMS)

Weakness: - Cheap and tacky scroll wheel - Radio reception is patchy - Buggy software (however Sandisk seems to be working hard to resolve it) - Can't play music while charging

The e250 looks extremely good except for the scroll wheel. It looks cheap and tacky as compared to the rest of the player. And also creates a problem while pressing the buttons along the periphery. The included phones are adequate though I am looking for a better pair as these tend to hurt the ear after sometime.

Ok, now about the features...

Music: Works great and I was able to transfer all of my mp3s and wmas easily. One thing though: The player sorts the songs using the ID3 v2 tags and not in the folder order you put in.

Video: Downloaded some videos from google and I am bowled over by the quality of the video and the 1.8" screen. Gripes: I cannot fast forward the video and I have to use the clunky media converter to load up videos into the player. Why can't I upload the videos just like the songs?

Radio: Reception in my home and office is poor and it only picks up the strongest stations. The headphone wire seems to act like an antenna but I don't want to wave the cord around all the time! Haven't tried it out in the city yet...

Recording: Haven't explored this one too much but seems to work fine. This feature is probably least important to me and I might never use it...

Photos: Same as video.

All in all, a nice job by Sandisk and I recommend this player. I only hope Sandisk keeps supporting this player with software and accessories...

Sansa e250 2G MP3

Strengths: great display and readout. Following menu is easy to understand. Convenient holding of music, photos and video. Great compact size. Headphones are good, sound is great.

Weakness: Had a few problems with the music files staying updated. I Called customer service twice for help. I was told that because it was copyrighted I needed to, and may need to on a regular basis,plug it in

I really like this product. My first 'problems' occurred a few days after I bought, so thought it was the player. Had it been defective, I would have replaced it with the same player because I really wanted to keep it. It seems fine now. Sounds great, looks great, easy to operate, holds lots of files and the small compact size is convenient. The pricing was definitely a plus.

Great features in a small body!

Strengths: Rich sound, easy connection and manage with PC, vivid video and photo playback, and FM tuner plus voice recorder! Solid body.

Weakness: Lack of support for more video formats, and asian language support.

I just had it in my hand and played with it. Simply by the look of it I'm immediately in love with this new Sandisk product, esp. when the blue control ring lights up in the middle. This thing has the right volume for my normal hiking use, and I prefer to load different songs on it frequently. The video and photo looks great on it which is higher than my expectation, the only drawback to this...

The video and photo looks great on it which is higher than my expectation, the only drawback to this function is that you need to convert them before you are able to put them to the player, esp. the video format needs to be quicktime format, less efficient and annoying for me. The support for music files is good enough for me, but I don't like the fact it doesn't support Asian fonts in the file ID3 tag. I really hope Sandisk people can add that support. The FM tuner is a great plus for it, because the audio quality sounds very good for me, and I can record the program in fly. The same goes for voice recorder. Overall, I like this player and regard it a real "Ipod-killer"!

Great mp3 player better than ipod

Strengths: video and pictures are really good. sound quality is ok

Weakness: you have to delete song on the computer and not the mp3 player buttons are to close to the scroll wheel

When you buy this new it comes fully charged and ready to use.
It doesn't come with a wall charger
i charge mine through my playstation 2
this is my second mp3 player and by far the best
