There's nothing like watching a horde of animals charging like some organized army against another massive grouping of other animals armed to the teeth/fang or whatever they have in their mouths/bills, etc. There is action, fantasy, imagination, and actually a story. I didn't think much of this film...
I didn't think much of this film at all. It was horribly over-rated and I too have read the books so was disappointed with the end result. This movie lacked soul, it was just about the special effects and even that wasn't impressive enough to save this movie.

Beautiful artwork, scenery and costumes. But that's about it. Wasn't ever really into this type of fantasy. I'm a JRR Tolkien fan - as well as a JK Rowling Fan.
