  This was just an okay film. I was pretty geeky when i first saw it, so i was holding my head in my hands and crying and all that when anakin killed everyone. In my opinion, the best of the prequels, though its still nowhere near the sequels. I think that in this movie, as well as the rest of the prequels, they were trying to do what they did 20 years ago by throwing in tons of special effects....

In my opinion, the best of the prequels, though its still nowhere near the sequels. I think that in this movie, as well as the rest of the prequels, they were trying to do what they did 20 years ago by throwing in tons of special effects. however, unlike last time, they didnt do very good on the storyline or the script. Intense action sequences (yoda vs. palpatine) and less politics (which shouldnt have been made so big in attack of the clones) were what made this better than the other prequels. 3/5

Too much light saber action. Hard to believe how easy Anakin is seduced to the dark side. Otherwise an enjoyable Star Wars film. Visuals were extraordinary.

Although the script is still difficult (sometimes too difficult) for the actors to say and relate to one another dramatically, Christensen captures a Vader with variously restrained bouts of fury and psychosis. General Greivous is introduced and vanquished skillfully by everyone involved. McGregor continues to talk to characters that aren't there. Episode III manages to at least please most people to some degree, a difficult task given the fact everyone sort of knew the ending 22 years before. It's an inevitably unhappy film with an unhappy subject and unhappy ending. This film will not make you happy in any way, no matter what you like in films. That being said, besides pace and script (which inherently strangles acting ability unless your name is Alec Guiness, Christopher Lee or Marlon Brando) the film is excellent in every other regard, and I give it 5 Stars because it's so much more intelligent than anything else ever done in film, and I'm hard pressed to think of any other film that even comes into the same ballpark in depth, meaning and importance than Star Wars.
